First Term Done
So I’m sitting in a laundrymat in Durango on some time off. I just have to say that this summer has been pretty great so far. There have been a few hiccups, but for the most part first term went off without a hitch. There are six terms for every summer at camp. First term is usually the craziest because we are testing hings out to see what works and what doesn’t. It also is crazy because a lot of the staf are getting their first taste at being a counselor.
What I am excited about is my job this summer. I have really been given a chance to do some really funny stuff with my buddy Jip. So far we have come up with a few good characters, including these brothers who say random facts about American History—all of which are made up—and wear coonskin caps and stuff like that. That may not sound funny, but when I tear a sapling down and then look at the camera and say,”The Sasquatch Alliance is the largest political action committee in the state of Washington. They have elected every single state governer,” People always laugh.
This last few weeks have been great for me. I think there will be some really good things in my life that happen over the course of this summer. I will make sure to keep you guys posted.
